Weighted Lead Rotation for Round Robin Distribution

Request a setting that allows managers to control lead distribution ratios within the round robin system.
Currently round robin distributes leads evenly across all reps. This works for balanced teams but creates issues when onboarding new hires or when certain reps can handle higher lead volume.
Add a configurable lead rotation ratio that allows managers to assign different distribution weights per rep.
Example configuration
Rep A 40 percent of leads
Rep B 30 percent of leads
Rep C 20 percent of leads
Rep D 10 percent of leads
This setting should be controlled by store managers or admin roles so distribution can be adjusted based on staffing, performance, or onboarding.
Use cases
Onboarding new BDC reps who should receive fewer leads while training
Giving higher performing reps more opportunities
Managing coverage when certain reps specialize in specific lead types
Increasing follow up performance by routing more leads to experienced staff
Expected outcome
Managers can maintain round robin structure while controlling how many leads each rep receives. This improves onboarding, training, and overall lead handling performance for the store.

I second this. This is a much-needed feature, especially for a CRM of DriveCentric's caliber.
Traditional round robin works well in theory, but in reality, lead distribution is rarely meant to be equal across every salesperson. Factors like experience, availability, current workload, performance, and even onboarding all need to be considered.
Having the ability to assign weighted distribution ratios while still maintaining a round robin structure would give managers far more control without sacrificing fairness. For example, we may want seasoned reps to receive a higher percentage of leads while new hires ramp up, or temporarily adjust allocations based on staffing levels or performance.
I also think this should go one step further by allowing managers to configure
daily, weekly, and monthly lead caps
for each individual rep. For example, a rep could be assigned 40% of the lead rotation but be capped at 5 leads per day or 100 leads per month. Once that cap is reached, the system would automatically redistribute the remaining leads to the next eligible rep based on the configured weighting. This would make it easy to account for vacations, part-time staff, onboarding, and varying workloads without requiring manual intervention. This is something we've been struggling with as well. The current options of Round Robin, Shotgun, or Manual Assignment don't provide the flexibility needed for stores with higher lead volumes. Manual assignment simply isn't scalable.
A weighted round robin combined with configurable daily, weekly, and monthly lead caps would be a huge enhancement and would give dealerships the flexibility to distribute opportunities strategically while keeping the process fully automated. I think this would benefit a large number of DriveCentric customers.

Thanks for sharing this, Ryan Rico — really helpful context. I’ve passed this along to the team for review so we can assess the best way to support weighted lead rotation within round robin, and I’ll follow up if we need any additional details from your side.
