Vehicle "Wish List" - Notify When Vehicle is Added to Inventory
under review
Jonathan Schultz
I would like to see a wish list if a customer is wanting a specific vehicle and we trade for the vehicle within the auto group then it will alert the sales associate , BDC agent, and assigned manager.
"Need to be able to list a range of autos that customer is looking for, search should find that customer --EX - cust wants new Subaru Ascent, we don't know what model year that car will be, how can we enter it into cust file so we can find cust when car is available? --EX - cust wants a 2003 to 2010 Subaru Forester, no more than 150K miles, no more than $15,000 price - how to enter this so I can find cust when car is avail? --EX - cust wants a sub $9,000 sub 100,000 mile Subaru or Toyota or Honda"

What needs to be considered is also "how many days in the system". In our dealership group, we're allowed to transfer used vehicles from other dealers in our group after 30 days. This would be a great way to prevent getting inundated with fresh units that are not available for a month. So please consider adding a "days in system" slider.
Thanks!

Due to the lack of new and pre-owned vehicles we really need to be able to put customers into a looking for vehicle status, which makes it easy to find them when their vehicle comes in

One of the reasons I am such an advocate for Vinsolutions is the Wish List feature. DriveCentric is very user friendly, but without the Wish List feature, we are losing opportunities to dealerships that use systems with this feature. In order to be the best CRM, we need that feature to continue to grow business and move metal. This is helpful especially on recent trade ins. Having the ability to set the mileage, price, years, model, make, and trim would give us a step up

Hiya John Harrison, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific features would you like to see in the 'looking for vehicle' status to help manage customer expectations?
- How would you like to be notified when a vehicle matching a customer's criteria becomes available?
- Are there any specific criteria or filters that should be included to help identify the right vehicle for a customer?

A customer wishlist would be great for inventory we may not currently have that allows us put in a year, make/model, mile range, price range that a customer may be looking for. When we get the inventory it alerts us or when the desk is appraising a like vehicle once that vehicle is pushed to vauto it alerts us so we can let the desk know we have a customer interested in the vehicle so maybe they put a little more money in the trade or smthg. Right now i am setting a task to follow up every couple of days which is fine but if i am off or out of the office i will get the notification on my cell and act immediately as preowned vehicles do not last long

This would be so beautiful! I've asked this to be something we do internally awhile.

We will be performing a feasibility study on this feature in Q1/Q2 2025!

Year Ranges for Used Vehicles!

When a customer is looking for a used vehicle such as a 2019 - 2023 Tacoma SR5, I can add up to 3 years separately, leave out the 4th year, and then just make a comment stating the years. Can we just have a range on vehicles rather than a drop down list where you can only choose one?

wishlist vehicle request

trying to find a way to flag a certain type or types of vehicles that certain customers are interested in, so that when we take them in on trade, it alerts me to call them right away. I don't see this ability to do this anywhere in drivecentric. pls help. thnks
I see! There is not a way to do this at this time. It would be a great Feature Request!
it sure would. Can you make a higher up recommendation?
The feature request would be the best way to do this. It goes straight to our product team and other users can vote for it.
You'll just need to click on the bull horn icon in the bottom left hand side of DriveCentric to get this feature request added!

Great to hear your perspective, Danielle Delano! I have a few more questions for you:
- How often do customers request vehicle year ranges when searching for used vehicles?
- Would having a year range option improve the customer experience significantly?
- Are there specific vehicle models or types where year range selection is more critical?

Danielle Delano
Shelby Parker thanks!
- Often, most people who call in or put in inquiries on used vehicles are looking for a ranges such a "4th generation RAV4" or "2015 - 2019 Highlander" if the vehicle they inquired on has sold, or are just calling around and searching.
- Yes, I would be able to mine deals more efficiently, so I could contact customers when their preferences are in.
- There are not specific models that this happens more often to
