Hi is there any way we can have the opt in to text pull from the "nickname" prompt instead of the first name. We have it set up on emails that way.

Since our system needs to have someone's legal name the system will send a text with that legal name. However, some guests do not go by nor liked to be called that. The only way to do so is to delete their legal name and change it. Then it leads to myself and other forgetting to switch it back. It would be nice to be able to use the nickname entered or something similar.

If we have a nickname loaded in the system, this should be used for the opt in text or email templates as it is their preferred name, rather than the government name.

Thank you for posting, Ben Cauffman! I have a few more questions for you:
- How often do you encounter situations where a guest prefers to be addressed by a nickname instead of their legal name?
- Would you prefer an option to set a preferred name or nickname in addition to the legal name in the system?
- Are there any specific scenarios or contexts where using a nickname instead of a legal name is particularly important?

Shelby Parker I would say a good amount. I just added a customer that goes by Dennis but his legal name is Dennison when I go to text him. I know a good amount of folks that go by their middle name. I would prefer an option to use a preferred name or nickname when it comes to the opt in text. I think texting someone by what they go by is more respectful than just their legal name.

we have a lead source that doesn't pull first name/last name but instead says "unavailable" ... it would be nice to be able to adjust the first name opt in text instead of saying "Hello Unavailable..."

There are a lot of people that to use or "go by" their first name. I for example go by my middle name. I always have. I have a customer named Kozo but he goes by Mark or Robert who goes by Bob or Thomas who goes by Tom etc. Our emails are now pull from the nickname when we address or respond a customer. It would appear to me if I was corresponding with someone and they continuously address me by my first name that they weren't paying attention weren't very smart or just didn't care, since I told them I go by my middle name. If it doesn't automatically pull from the nickname field we should at the very least have an option to change it.

Hello Scott Jonassen! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more context on how the 'nickname' is currently being used in your system?
- Are there any specific scenarios where using the 'nickname' instead of the 'first name' would be more beneficial?
- Would you like this change to be applied to all text communications or only specific ones?
