The attached screenshot shows the updated Duplicate Sensitivity logic for Low, Medium, and High. The sensitivity for the dealership can be configured by the CRM Expert User in Store Settings --> Preferences.
By default, all dealerships are set to Low unless they have previously adjusted their dealership settings.

I noticed one thing with the % match
First Name 1 = Last Name 2
Last Name 1 = First Name 2
Has the same % match as
First Name 1 = Last Name 2
Last Name 1 = Last Name 2
That causes some weird results ("Walter White" is as likely to be a duplicate as "Walter White" as he is to be "White Walter")
I would expand nick names using a standard dictionary (e.g. Mike --> Michael)
I would try matching on Phonemes for names.
I would alter match % based on location. So nearby addresses are treated as more likely to be duplicates than addresses very far away.

When the name and phone number match, but the email address is different, it should automatically merge instead of triggering as a possible dupe...

I also think when filtering a large list, "possible duplicates" should be an option for a column so we can see which prospects have dupes without looking one by one.

Hi Steven! Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We're looking into this on our end to see how we can tune the possible dupe criteria to catch as many correct duplicates as possible without overwhelming you with incorrect dupes.

New "Dupe/Merge" is too sensitive

The majority of our leads are now getting flagged as Dupes. This keeps them out of the rotation, they won't be assigned until a manger touches them. The matching criteria needs to be be fine-tuned. A name AND phone# AND/OR email should match before a lead is flagged as a dupe.

Matching first and last name should not trigger a possible duplicate

If the first and last name of two customers match but no other information matches, this should not trigger a possible duplicate.

I agree. It's a case of "if it's not broken, don't fix it" it also takes much more time, redirects you to a whole page, and occasionally signs you out when hitting "back". Overall more of an annoyance than anything.
