Unmerge

The admins or the managers should be able to unmerge a customer if there is a mistake.

I would say the specific examples are like the one I suggested with Luke today. Joseph Robbins and Jean Williams was merged today. The reason this occurs (Obviously I made the mistake) is because there are so many leads that need to be merged. I am constantly having to merge leads and honestly its became numbing. I know for a fact when I come in the morning the 12 leads we have is more like 5 because of all the duplicates that occur. I hope the suggestion of 100% match will auto merge comes a thing. Will really change the game.
I think it really should be you all and maybe the managers. I can understand this has to be something that rarely occurs but to not have a work around seems like an oversight unless there is a reason we are choosing not to include it.
The system should have, I guess an Undo button? For the system to know to put the phone number in the secondary line and the email in the secondary line it should know how to revert it back. Now with us choosing the name I am assuming the system is deleting the customers name. I suggestion is to have us type it back in, no type would be better but I understand the system may have limitations.

Great to hear your perspective, Scott Loux! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific scenarios or examples have you encountered where unmerging a customer was necessary?
- Are there any specific permissions or roles that should be able to perform the unmerge action?
- How should the system handle data associated with the merged customer when unmerging?
