Apple has changed their ability to see both apple and android read reciepts. So if you use apple to get read reciepts it should work across the board for android and apple. They recently changed this so I'm hoping you can make the changes to adopt this idea now?

Hello all and thank you for the feedback! Similar to text message reactions across iOS and Android, this capability is dependent on utilizing the same operating system as the person that you are texting with. Due to the fact that we support texting to both platforms, we are unable to tell if the text message has been read by the recipient at this time. If that changes in the future and cross-platform read receipts become compatible for all systems that use texting then we will re-open this request.
