Tasks update and change to the user who completes the task automatically

When a person is off, our team completes their tasks. The system should automatically clear the task if the task has been completed regardless of who completes it. Example: A sales manager calls the customer the day after the visit. The task should clear for the salesman since the sales manager has already spoken with them.

Completing work flow tasks

I would love to be able to complete tasks on the work flow for sales people instead of deleting it.

Give managers ability to complete work plans for their teams.

If a manager is working a workplan item for someone who is off, they can not complete the task. Any sales manager, or BDC agent should have the ability to complete a workplan task for anyone so the business rules for follow up cadence still applies.
If we help the off team out, it appears as if follow up was not done or the task has to be deleted which kills the workflow.

I agree with this. Any user should be able to complete a workflow task on behalf of another user.
As BDC, I handle workflow tasks for salespeople who are busy with an in-showroom customer, or out of office. I can manually go into their work plans and specifically click on a task to complete, but the workflow doesn’t change.
This is unhelpful for salespeople who are on vacation or out sick whose production are being completed regardless of attendance.

Thank you for posting, RANDY BHIKHA! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on the current process of completing a workplan task? What steps are involved?
- What are the specific roles (sales manager, BDC agent, etc.) that should have the ability to complete a workplan task for anyone?
- Can you elaborate on the business rules for follow up cadence that you mentioned? How does the inability to complete a task affect these rules?

Better if/then functions - Business Rules

It would be really helpful to improve if/then functions to make teamwork better between BDC agents and salespeople. For instance, if a salesperson calls a customer in the morning and they pick up, the system could automatically delete the BDC agent's follow-up task. But if they hit voicemail instead, it would keep the task active for the BDC agent to follow up later that day.

Great to hear your perspective, Ryan Tharp! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more examples of the if/then functions that you would like to see improved?
- What other tasks, apart from deleting the BDC agent's follow-up task, would you like the system to perform automatically based on certain conditions?
- How do you currently handle these situations and what challenges are you facing with the current system?

Kyle Curtis Thank you for the feature request! When you're completing a task for another user, prior to completing the task, are you impersonating this user when sending a text or email? Thank you!
