Task Priority

Create a clear task weighting. The task list should be placed in order based on a projected dollar value, or projected value of closeness to the sale. This will allow dealerships to force sales prioritization, and automate the decision making process.
Also Tasks should be schedulable, for example, I need to make a call at 2, Task should generate at 130, and jump to the top of the priority list

- Closeness to Sale (Lead Engagement Level)
Leads that have provided more detailed information (e.g., uploaded stipulations to the portal) should be prioritized higher.
Stipulation submission = strong sales intent → high priority.
- Time-Based Prioritization
Day 1–10 leads or tasks should be the highest priority.
These are the most active, warm, and relevant.
Focus should be on recent interactions such as:
Recently submitted leads
Recently sent numbers (quotes or pricing)
Recently visited customers
- Task Type (Low-Hanging Fruit)
Tasks within the first 10 days are often the easiest to complete and yield the most results.
These tasks should be worked on before older or colder tasks.
It would be helpful if workplans where listed from high priority to low priority

Hiya Mike Zemanovic, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- How should the projected dollar value or closeness to sale be calculated for task prioritization?
- What criteria should be used to determine when a task should jump to the top of the priority list?
- Are there specific types of tasks that should always be prioritized or scheduled in a particular way?

Shelby Parker I'm pretty new to this, I don't think I have the expertise to do rank for all of drive centric. Dealership groups should have this control to be able to rank tasks based on progress to sale based on number of days since contact, or which bucket they fall in. Each group may have a different approach
Is a second day lead > a 4th day proposal? Maybe Drive Centric has math behind this. (you could always show me your numbers) This decision should be made off data, not off a sales guy with 6 months experience.
This creates a directed workflow, rather than relying on salesperson good behavior. You could be directly scored off adherence to standard work.
(Question 2) If I have a scheduled task, it should leap to the top of the list during its scheduled time. Currently I do this function by creating timers on my phone, and its very fallible.
(Question 3) Tasks like followups after proposals, next day followups, would always rank higher than tasks like 30 day lead, or engage
