Show Thumbnail of Video in Text

It would be great to include a thumbnail of the video (whether it's a custom recorded video OR from the video library) within text messages rather than a link to the video. People are conditioned not to click links, but if we could show a thumbnail of a video that was clearly made for them, people would be more likely to open the text and click.

At my Dealership, many of the first messages, a customer might received from us would be a video of whichever car they sent a lead on. With how vigilant people have been about phishing schemes recently it may be a good idea to try to change how the link may appear on iOS Messaging. I’ve personally had a customer bringing this up to me as a concern, making sure that it was me by having a check with me in person.

Hiya Raymond Byrd, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific changes would make the video link appear more trustworthy to customers?
- Have there been any specific customer feedback or suggestions on how to improve the appearance of these messages?
- Are there any other communication channels where this issue has been observed?

Hello Brian Pisor! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the thumbnail appearing in the text message?
- Do you have a preference for the size or aspect ratio of the video thumbnail in the text message?
- Would you like the thumbnail to be a specific frame from the video or just the first frame?

Shelby Parker, it would be great if it appeared where the hyperlink is now (right under the initial message).
No preference for the aspect ratio, but I feel it should appear similar to the way it would appear on an iphone if someone sent you a YouTube video (example attached).
It would be fine if the thumbnail were the first frame in the video (just like they appear when I look on our recently sent Videos page from the pipeline), example attached.
