Searching clients by Nickname
K

We get to know our clients beyond their legal first names and we have a NICKNAME field to utilize, would be intuitive to search them using their nickname and not just the full name their mother calls them, but both searches would pull up results.

Ability to search by address would also be very helpful.

Hello Kaz Uyesugi! I have a few more questions for you:
- How often do you anticipate using the nickname search feature compared to the full name search?
- Are there any specific scenarios or use cases where searching by nickname is particularly important for your workflow?
- Would you like the option to prioritize nickname search results over full name results, or should they be treated equally?

Shelby Parker I use nicknames as often as I can to engage with the client on a more personal level. By using their nicknames (which is often an abbreviated version of their full name) both myself and my team can approach the client in a warm manner. Instinctively I would search their nickname first.
As for workflow, if my management only knows the client by nickname, they could hit a slight roadblock when trying to jump into their notes and correspondence if they don't know to search for the full name. And at times, if we can't even pronounce the legal name that is just awkward for everyone.
I feel they should be treated equally in results. A search for either name should bring up both but in a format that is easy to understand.
For example, I have a Filipino client who goes by Maggie, but her legal name is L**
, so no results until you type in her last name, P
. Only after entering her profile do you see the nickname, L
"Maggie" P
***. If search results brought that format up, (L***
"Maggie" P
**) we are quickly up to speed on her preferred name and know we're dealing with the right client.J

Please add search for Nick name as it is extremely useful. There is no reason to have the Nickname feature is it cannot be searched. Thank you

Search by Nick name and Last name.

A lot of customers dont go by their legal name on their license. When I search for a customer it should search by nick name and as well as first and last name. For instance I have a customer name Hubert Martin he dislikes Hubert so he goes by Tre Martin. When I search Tre Martin nothing comes up. They system has to have his legal name and there is a spot for a nickname. The nickname should be included in the search as it helps find customers that are otherwise hard to find.
