Scan License Picture

It's a lot easier to remember people if you see their face in the system.

When we used Vin Solutions when you would scan a customers license it would have you scan front and back. So I guess during the check in process. So it would import all of the details of the license but use their license picture as their avatar as opposed to their initials. In a high volume dealership like us it's nice to be able to see a face while you're texting the CRM and remember who you're talking to. It also helps with a previous customer you sold too wanting to return and buy another vehicle.
As far as privacy it would just store everyone's picture but similar to Drive in Vin Solutions it would only show you under your own customers. So no one else can view it unless it's your client.

Thanks for sharing this, Zach Hamilton — totally hear you on how much easier it is to recognize customers when you can see a face photo in the system. To make sure we’re thinking about this the right way, can I ask a couple quick questions: where in your workflow would you want to capture the license photo (check-in/visit, when creating a new lead/customer, or somewhere else)? Is the primary need just to attach the face photo to the customer profile, or do you also want to pull other license details (name/address/DOB) into fields automatically? And lastly, who should be able to view that photo in-app (all staff vs specific roles), and are there any consent/privacy rules you need to follow at your dealership?
