As a salesman I love putting my customers into categories and sometimes I want them more specific than the generic dealership wide tags. "ZR2 Buyer, Corvette Buyer, Costco Members(For GM Rebates), These are random but once I have the ability to do it, I'll think of MANY more.

Johnny Loose, thanks for the feature request! We'll continue to monitor this for votes, and you'll receive any updates automatically.
In the meantime, you might suggest some high-value tags to your manager and having them create those tags so that the whole store can leverage them.

Hello Johnny Loose! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific criteria or attributes would you like to use to create these personalized tags?
- How frequently do you anticipate needing to update or change these tags for your customers?
- Would you like the ability to share these personalized tags with other salespeople or keep them private?

Hey Shelby Parker ,
First I just want to say how awesome it is that you guys listen and discuss new ideas with your users. It feels good to be heard!
I’m not sure I fully understood the first question, so I want to clarify how I’d use tags in practice.
I’d apply tags organically as I sell vehicles, receive new leads, and work through my orphan accounts. I’m in the fleet and commercial department at a dealership with about 45 salespeople moving roughly 900 vehicles per month, so our use case may be a bit different than a traditional setup.
The main value of tags for me would be categorizing companies by industry. That way, when we have specific rebates, fleet programs, or end-of-model-year incentives tied to certain builds, I can quickly market those offers to the companies that would actually benefit from them.
They’d also be a big help with prospecting and follow-up marketing. For example, if one of my HVAC clients does a new upfit that I think works really well, I could take a short video of the vehicle, select my HVAC tags, and send that video to my other HVAC clients as a reason to consider upgrading or changing their setup.
As for how often I’d change or adjust tags, once I have a system in place I don’t expect it to be very frequent. Likely only when vehicles, incentives, or fleet programs change. Realistically, maybe one to three times per year.
Lastly, I don’t see a strong need to share tags with other salespeople, but I also don’t feel they need to be private. I’m flexible either way on that.
