Price change auto update on existing pencils

When we change the price on a new or used vehicle, the sales price does NOT automatically update on pre-existing pencils. This has caused many incidents of Mngrs not realizing, and trying to sell a vehicle for a differ. price than what is listed online.

Thanks for flagging this, Kristen Long — totally hear you on how risky that is when managers don’t realize the pencil is out of sync with the online/inventory price. To make sure we’re scoping the right behavior, can I ask a couple quick clarifiers: when a vehicle’s price changes, which existing pencils should auto-update (all open/active pencils, only the most recent, or only ones created after a certain point)? Also, if a pencil has been manually adjusted (discounts/add-ons/overrides), should a later price change still update it, or should we instead warn/flag it to avoid overwriting those edits? And lastly, what should be the “source of truth” price that pencils follow (current sales price in inventory, the online listing price, or another field)?
