Pop Up Notifications for Texts and Reminders

A pop up for texts received to the user, as well as a pop up for reminders would help communication flow more efficiently and limit broken promises for time sensitive follow up.

Thanks for sharing this, Kristine Halloran — totally hear you on how real-time pop-ups for texts and reminders could keep things moving and help avoid missed time-sensitive follow-ups. To make sure we’re designing this in the most useful way, a couple quick questions: where would you want these notifications to show up (inside the DriveCentric web app while you’re working, as a desktop notification, or on mobile)? Which events should trigger them for you (all inbound texts vs only ones assigned to you, reminders due now/overdue, specific customers/teams, etc.)? And when the pop-up appears, what’s the key action you’d want to take immediately (jump into the conversation/customer record, reply right away, snooze/complete the reminder, etc.)?

Shelby Parker For text messages, it would be helpful if pop-up notifications appeared within the desktop app only for the user who originally sent the message the customer is replying to. The pop-up could appear in the center of the screen with an option to snooze for 5–10 minutes in case the user is on a live call. Ideally, it would include a clickable option to either open the conversation and reply immediately or jump straight to the customer card in Conversation view.
For reminders, the same style of centered pop-up within the desktop app would work well. When a reminder is due now, the user should see a pop-up with multiple snooze options (e.g., different time increments) to help manage time-sensitive tasks. This pop-up should also include a clickable option that opens the related customer card directly from the notification.

Totally agree, real-time pop-up alerts for incoming texts and reminders would be a game changer for us. Half the battle with time sensitive follow-ups is just catching them in time, and a visual/audio nudge would help us stay on top of leads without constantly refreshing or digging through tabs. Would love to see this implemented!

I agree. Having pop-up notifications for incoming customer texts, upcoming appointments and reminders for pending follow-ups would help improve communication flow, ensure timely responses, and reduce missed follow-ups. Without these notifications, important messages and reminders can easily be overlooked, leading to delayed responses, missed appointments, broken promises to customers, and potentially lost sales opportunities. This feature would help the team stay on top of time-sensitive tasks and provide a more consistent customer experience.
