Thanks to your feedback, we've implemented this feature in our New Desking tool! If you're already using New Desking, head over to the "Extras" tab in Desking settings, and you'll be able to enter your PMA zip codes separated by commas, like "63107,63109,62269".
Once you've done that, a "PMA" icon will show up next to the customer's name in the Desking tool if that customer is in your PMA.
If you're not yet using our New Desking tool, reach out to Support to talk about enabling the latest version of Desking!

In vs Out of Market

Looking for a feature where when a customer's address information is added to DriveCentric we will get notification if the customer's address resides within our AOR. The dealer would need to populate all zip codes where the OEM wants you to sell cars, if their zip is found the customer gets a green checkmark, if not their profile gets a red checkmark.

Hi Randy, thanks for the feature request! I'm going to go ahead and merge this one into a similar one. When would you want to get the notification - immediately upon customer creation? Would it be more useful to have a sidebar notification or an icon/alert on the customer card or both?

Jacob Coleman I think it would be helpful to have both. Thank you for your attention to this as In Market vs Out of Market has become critical to our decision making on if we even sell the customer a vehicle.

Randy Bednar: Makes sense, thanks for the feedback!

Hey Randy Bednar, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- What should happen if a customer's zip code is not found in the dealer's AOR list? Should there be any specific actions or notifications?
- How frequently should the system check for the customer's address in the AOR? Is it a one-time check or should it be periodically updated?
- Should there be any additional features or actions associated with the green and red checkmarks, such as specific notifications or alerts?

1) Each dealer would setup their store by inputting the Zip codes that are in their Area Of Responsibility. If the customer's zip code is recognized as an "In Market" sale the customer's profile would get a green checkmark or something to indicate its OK to sell them a vehicle because they reside in the area that your manufacturer wants you to retail vehicles. If their zip code is not in your area of responsibility the client profile would get maybe a red checkmark stating that they are an out of market sale and at that point the desking manager would determine if they choose to sell them a vehicle.
2) The system would determine this only when the customer information is initially inputted into DriveCentric OR when an address change is made to the profile.
3) Not sure about other functionality but I can tell you that OEM's are now more than ever looking to see if dealers are selling vehicles to people in the area they serve or if they are selling into another one of their other dealer's areas. They don't want me competing with another JLR dealer, they want me selling vehicles to people in my area and only competing with other luxury brands.
This is a "NO BRAINER" feature and seems pretty easy to program. eLead has the feature
