Phone Call appointments

It would be nice to schedule appointments for phone calls for remote clients. This helps sales keep their schedule refined - tasks are useful but I think that we often have items missed in the huge amount of tasks that appear. An appointment for a call seems more urgent and helps us define who is coming in store or not.

Thanks for sharing this, Alexis Johnson — totally hear you on tasks getting buried, and how a scheduled call can feel a lot more time-sensitive for the team. To make sure we’re designing this the right way, can I ask a couple quick clarifiers: when you book a phone-call appointment, what do you need it to accomplish (just make sure the rep calls at a specific time, track that the call was completed, or both)? Who should be able to view/manage these call appointments (assigned rep only, the full team, managers)? And should “phone call” be its own appointment type, or part of the existing appointment flow with a simple way to mark phone vs in-store?

We do a lot of remote business so phone calls are often scheduled with customers to go over products, numbers and options. I would like to be able to see "Phone" appointments as an option like we see "sales, delivery, service" but not have it count as an in store visit. It would be nice if a conversation was had that the customer was marked "shown" in a way. That way we can see that our sales team is following up with the client as requested. I would say we are trying to accomplish both!
I think everyone should be able to schedule these phone appointments. That way BDC can set them for sales when clients request a call, or managers are planning to do a call out. Things get busy and it is nice to have something a bit more official to keep an eye on. Especially when we already all have so many "call" tasks that aren't nececassarily a HIGH priority.
I think that phone appointments would be a good addition to sales appointments as they are generally for sales. Maybe it counts as a different type of store visit of some sort?
