Different positions should have different permissions when it comes to marking leads bad or dead. Leads are expensive and we should be able to decide whom has that ability and responsibility.

All - we are excited to announce that as of this morning we have introduced this feature! Individual User Permissions can now be adjusted to one of three options:
- Full Dead Ability - this is no change to current functionality and allows full access to dead deals
- Good Reason Dead Ability - this disallows the user to dead a deal for "Bad" reasons which removes the deal from net lead counts
- No Dead Deal Ability - this completely removes the ability for a user to dead a deal; they will be thrown an error if they attempt to do so
Additionally, the Dead Deal selection list was reskinned to more predominately display the "good" dead deal reasons versus the "bad" dead deal reasons.
As always, thank you for your feedback!

A sales associate should never be allowed or have access to mark a deal bad. We spend a lot of money generating these leads for them to have permission to do this. I highly encourage Drive get this feature implemented where it's management discretion only. We are very busy and miss things, this is one thing we should never have to question.

Billy Kirchhofer: as a sales associate, I am closer to a deal/lead then a manager. In our old CRM we had to put it into "Manager Review" and it waste time, energy and money to keep trying to contact people that never respond, or have told us they bought elsewhere. A lot of people just ignore us and that's time that could be spent watching the lot, dealing with viable leads. If you have an employee that keeps marking them dead then maybe you should ask your employee why they do it so often and actually listen to them. They are human beings and deserve the same respect. I have spent hours on dead leads in our old CRM. Hours that i could have used to work with good leads. Stop asking your people to beat dead horses. I dunno... just my 2 cents.

Need to make the ability to dead a deal a permission based option.

In what way? Are you referring to management only?

Managers should be the only one able to kill a lead, pretty ridiculous that this is even a point of conversation. There are a LOT of great things about drive centric, but additionally there are a lot of areas you guys can improve. Honestly I can't believe this even under review.

Managers should be the only ones able to mark leads or customer profiles Dead. This should be priority.
