Permission Groups per Store
complete

As an Expert User, I would like the ability to create Permission Groups and assign a specific set of Users to that Permission Group. I would like to be able to apply permission updates to those users via Permission Groups, so that I can make bulk changes to the custom Permission Groups that I have created.

We are excited to announce our new feature, Permission Groups. With this feature, you can:
- Group Users: Assign roles and permissions by user group
- Customize Access: Tailor permissions for teams or departments
- Simplify Management: Control access centrally
- Scale Easily: Adjust permissions as your dealership grows
You can see more about Permission Groups here -> https://help.drivecentric.com/en/articles/9723319-permission-groups

Hey All - we're excited to be in an early access rollout stage of this feature. If your dealership or dealership group is interested in gaining access to this feature, please have your Expert User reach out to your Customer Success Team and we will get this enabled for you early this week!

I just came back to DC after being off for six years. I suggested this 6 years ago. Really need this.

Please create a user permission template that can be applied to employees. Currently it is very tedious to select each permission. Example: Salesperson Template, BDC Template, etc

Ability to set and edit store level 'default' permission sets for specific job roles (salespeople, sales bdc), so that you do not have to manually change the permission every time we add a new hire or need to make a batch change to staff level permissions.

While adding a user, add the ability to Copy Permissions from another user

Copy user permissions from another person. When I try to copy from someone else when creating a new user, the permissions aren't in the same spot so I have to scroll up and down and do each permission by each section. Would save a lot of time having that feature!

Thank you for posting, Eli White! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide examples of the specific permissions you would like to be able to set and edit at the store level?
- How often do you find yourself needing to make batch changes to staff level permissions?
- What impact would this feature have on your day-to-day operations?

Shelby Parker Sure!
- For the job title, salesperson, when new hires are added, the Permissions always need to be changed from the 'default' settings to reflect the appropriate actions specific to our store's process. These include but are not limited to:
Customer Access, Customer Search = STORE
Data Access, Video Access = STORE
Deal Access, remove all permissions except "RESCUE", "PUSH TO DMS", and change Dead Deal Ability to "NO DEAD DEAL ABILITY".
Task Access, set to EDIT only.
Appointment Access, set to "Confirm", "Edit" and "Reschedule".
- Batch changes to specific job titles or roles (again, typically Salesperson OR Sales BDC) are infrequent, but do happen once a quarter or so. It's difficult to change 40 salespeople's permissions manually and ensure that they are all identical. A default 'job title' based permission set would ensure consistency.
- The impact would largely be in the consistency of permissions, and the ease of use when adding new hires or making batch changes. This would scale depending on the size of the organization and the number of users.
