Old Age Unit Mining Tool

I would like to see a mining filter that automatically populates all leads for 40+ day old units. This would streamline the process for reducing the old age units and help us find out why certain inventory may not be selling.

Shelby Parker Thanks for the response. We are specifically looking for the filter to calculate age based on the day it's added to inventory. When I say Auto-populate, I'm saying that vehicles age every day so as soon as a particular vehicle becomes the age set by the filter, it's added to that mining bucket. As far as work flow integration, we want sales managers, internet managers and sales staff to all have access to this. Reason being, if a sales member drops the ball on a lead it can be claimed by another sales member. This ensures the leads are worked correctly. 40 days is just a reference. Being able to choose the age or age range of the vehicle in inventory would be ideal.

Thanks for sharing this, Zachary Walters — totally see how a “40+ day” mining filter could make aging inventory a lot easier to work through. Quick couple clarifiers so we’re building it the right way: when you say 40+ days, which date should we be using to calculate age (added to inventory vs listed online vs last price change, etc.)? And when the filter “auto-populates” leads, are you looking for the leads currently tied to those units, or everyone who’s interacted with them (inquiries/calls/chats/visits) within a specific window? Lastly, once those leads are surfaced, what’s the main workflow you want to drive (re-engagement, diagnosing pricing/merchandising, assigning follow-ups), and which roles would be using it most (BDC, sales managers, marketing)?

The sales team would benefit from an old age mining tool.
