I know this goes against the DriveCentric Creed but there should be a permission that prevents sales agents from creating a duplicate customer with a manager override or permission based override.
It is far too easy for people to skate each other in this system. No amount of training is going to stop sale agents from being sales agents.

Duplicates are out of hand. I can't tell you how many duplicates I have to merge and clear up in the system. While not officially diagnosed w/ OCD, my "OCD-brain" just can't handle duplicates. I like a nice, clean database with tall the history in one place.

In VIN Solutions there was a feature that wouldn't let you add the same contact info if it matched with something in the system already - can you make Drive do that too?? This would help minimize constantly merging profiles.

Make it to where if a duplicate is populated with matching information a salesperson cannot add them into the CRM without a Manager Approval

If they made it so sales people can't make potential duplicates, sales people will just start falsifying the initial information to create it anyway, then correct the info once the account is created. That would then nullify the ability of the skate alert to work. Been there done that, seen it with other CRMs that did not allow it.
