Our Company requires employee legal names in the CRM but many of our employees go by their middle names or an easier to pronounce name. it would be great to have a the ability to use the name they actually go by in text opt-ins and elsewhere

Ability to go by an alias or a nickname

My name is Allysa but doing business as Dolly. I actually go by Dolly in real life too. However, we have to go by legalities sake and my legal name else where so here has to match up.
I would like to request the ability to go by my nickname that i've had for 18 years instead of my legal name. There is a nickname option for customers - so i am in hopes it wont be too difficult to do a nickname option for users as well.
I know i can create my own templates and such but beyond that when my name is included in things i cannot adjust myself it still reverts back to Allysa. I have repor here with our customers as Dolly and I don't want to them to think it is another person as the whole reason i was at first so gung ho for DriveCentric was the lead ownership and knowing my customers will be speaking with me and me directly and not have to worry about having to connect to 17 other people in the process!
Please and thank you!!

Hiya Allysa Jacobs, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- How would you like the nickname to be displayed in communications with customers?
- Are there specific areas within the platform where using a nickname is most important to you?
- Would you like the option to toggle between your legal name and nickname, or should the nickname be the default?

Shelby Parker I would want my nickname to be displayed as if it were my actual name. So in any signature or communication with the customers and/or users. I would also like it to be displayed if another user were to come across my information on a lead or else where etc. So pretty much how my legal name is now. The only difference being that on the backend it would be my legal name instead of my nickname.
the most important spot the nickname would be utilized would be within customer communication. i would also want other users who are trying to tag me to use it as well as a secondary option - in case they don't know my legal name.
i personally would use my nickname as a default because it is my preferred name.
thank you!
