Merging Multiple Deals to a Single Customer Record

Like being able to merge like customers, there should be an ability to merge deals that are under one customer/profile instead of having to kill them. That way they stop showing up in multiple stages in the pipeline, but it doesn't record as a killed/dead deal in the system.

Better system separation between Customer and Deal

Today we had a customer that was purchasing multiple vehicles. I created a separate deal within the same customer card (A) for each vehicle. Pushed each deal individually to get deal number for each one. When we noticed that there was a duplicate customer card (B)(without an open deal) I tried to merge the customers. The system then decided to merge the individual open deals i had created on customer card A into the same deal. The additional deal numbers are now showing as 'unlinked'. Support claimed this was "system functionality." I feel that the system really needs better differentiation between "customer" and "deal". Screenshot below is exactly how these deals were set up before trying to merge a CUSTOMER card and all three deals were smashed into one.

Merge opportunities within same customer card

Sometimes a salesperson accidentally created more than one opportunity within, and a deal gets worked on a phone up vs the internet up, when it gets marked SOLD in the DMS immediately matches to the open lead that pushed over - we should be able to merge WITHIN the customer card two opportunities like eLead does

Great to hear your perspective, Caitlyn Wetherald! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details about the steps you took when you tried to merge the customer cards?
- What specific changes would you like to see in the system's differentiation between 'customer' and 'deal'?
- Can you describe any specific issues or challenges this merging issue has caused in your workflow?

Bring back the ability to Re-Sync deals instead of the duplicate deliveries.

The new process for merging duplicate deliveries is leading to more headaches and work than is needed. Currently if I have a deal that doesn't get merged properly prior to being capped in the finance office it will create a duplicate delivery. Should be able to just merge it back to the correct profile correct? No, we have to dead the duplicate deal out and have the original deal pushed to finance and have it capped.
Under the old system I could simply unsync the deal, merged the two deals together, and resync. It took all of 2 mins. Please bring back the old system and get rid of this new "duplicate deliveries".

Not only merging them but being able to "mark" who the primary driver is would be great as well. This would make it easier to decide who to make future contacts with.

Agreed! I just had a deal sold to a couple who each put in leads on the same car, which created two “deals”. Now I have a sold and a visit remaining on a delivered deal.
This occurs when a co-buyer is added to the deal also and seems like a simple thing to streamline on DriveCentric’s end!
