Merging is in a desperate need of an overhaul

So many issues with merging. I would have 2 profiles with exact name, phone number and email address and the system won't detect them as dupes. Meanwhile I get tons of duplicate suggestions for profiles with the same last name. How does this make sense? I have played with every merging setting to fix but to no avail. Phone and email matches should be a must for detecting dupes and not so much emphasis on names. Also too many clicks to merge 2 profiles.

It would be nice to be able to merge multiple profiles at once, rather than 1 at a time. Sales people are notorious for not fully paying attention and just rushing to get through adding customers so no one can steal them from them. Spelling may be slightly off, or changed phones, etc. so they never found the other lead and created another. Very easy to all of a sudden have 10+ leads for same customer, and merging one by one however many times a week can become time consuming.

Bashir Deeb Thank you for the feedback! You mentioned 2 profile with the exact same info and they did not appear as dupes. Is could be because someone had cleared the dupes and it no longer recognizes them as a duplicate. However you still have the option to search duplicates again from the customer card - If you have a recent customer example here that would be super helpful as well to know if this is not working correctly.
We do have a setting to adjust “like names” and additional criteria to limit the amount of dupes that appear. I will check with your rep. To see which threshold you are on right now.

Jonathan Schultz: Show the activity of merging customers in the Activity lines of the customer. Use an icon of opposing arrows - one up and one down or pointing left and right. Show the user's name who merged them in the Activity line as well for accountability.
