I agree; I think there should be like an "live" activity log for each user. That way you can go back and look at who you spoke with/tagged/assigned tasks to and then who each user spoke with so, as managers, you can ensure each customer is getting proper follow up.

- daily availability
- date of mention, customer and salesperson - ability to click on the mention or customer name to take me to my mention - so i can check if something was completed that was asked for
- CRM would prob be best
