Mark Duplicate Lead as Cobuyer

Leads that come in with a different surname, phone number, and address (in the case of an unmarried partner, relative, etc.) are not triggered as duplicates and have to be manually added to the deal. These leads will still trigger workplan tasks to be assigned, even though they're unnecessary for the salesperson. A "Cosigner" option could tie these leads together on the same deal so that all the information, notes, and updates are shared on a single profile.

Provide option to merge duplicate as a co-buyer

If two people are shopping together, and provide similar details, the only option currently is to merge the customers, and then add the second persons name manually. If the merge duplicate screen had the option to assign the duplicate name as a co-buyer to the original, that would be fantastic!

Hello Theodore Hogan! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the process of assigning the duplicate name as a co-buyer?
- What information should be shared between the original buyer and the co-buyer in the system?
- Are there any specific scenarios where this feature would be particularly useful or necessary?

what if the spouse/family member isn't a cosigner but we still want it to show up as the red "possible duplicate" so we can hop back and forth between profiles -- when the new lead comes in we are forced to clear duplicates then we lose the red link in the customer profile showing all the family members --- there should be an "ignore" button instead of "clear all duplicates" when the lead comes in next to merge

Add a "Add As Co-Buyer" button, when displaying possible dupes. Co-buyer frequently populate in that screen.

Merge 2 customers by adding a co-buyer in the merge screen

Created on behalf of Donny McCurdy - Merge 2 customers by adding a co-buyer in the merge screen *Jenny and Dave Smith both buying the same car, Dave submitted an internet lead, Jenny submitted a credit app. But you have to take so many extra steps to merge them. Just add the co-buyer feature in the merge screen

Ashley Duke This is a great suggestion! Just to make sure I'm understanding your request: Let's say John Doe has an open deal. If his wife, Jane Doe sends in a lead that flags as a duplicate, you'd want a "Add as cobuyer" button in the merge window so that you can add Jane as the cobuyer, and add her lead to the existing deal. Is that what you had in mind?

Jacob Coleman: that would be awesome so then there isn't two leads and then you don't have to kill another deal. We are new to the system but it definitely causes confusion with my sales staff when they see the lead open and I commonly hear, "I just sold them"!

i HATE that when a lead from a spouse/someone else in household comes in.. it makes me clear dupes even though I like the red triggered duplicate for family members to match them together but now that no longer shows
