Manual Logging of Calls should be USER, not STORE setting.

Instead of it being an ALL or NOTHING scenario, we would like ability to grant the ability to manually log a call as a USER permission setting or as a User TYPE setting. Some of our stores use an external BDC and they do NOT have the ability to use click to call and have to log their call attempts under notes. When forcing click to call, we have MUCH higher connection rates for our salespeople so we are choosing between the lesser of two evils.

Thanks for raising this, Larry Newman — totally hear you on the “all or nothing” tradeoff here. The context around external BDC teams needing manual logging while your sales team benefits from click-to-call (and higher connection rates) is really helpful. I’m looping this into our review so the team can assess what it would look like to make manual call logging a user- or user-type permission instead of a store-wide setting, and we’ll follow up if we need any additional details.

Thanks for raising this, Larry Newman — totally hear you on the “all or nothing” tradeoff here, especially with some stores relying on an external BDC while your sales team benefits from click-to-call. This is really helpful context, and I’m sharing it with the team so we can evaluate what it would look like to make manual call logging a user- or user-type permission instead of a store-wide setting. If we need any additional details from your setup to assess options, I’ll follow up.
