I am referring to all templates across the board (email, SMS, etc.). Ideally, this would be a user-level permission that prevents specific users from sending any templated messages while still allowing them to send messages they write themselves.

The goal is to prevent those users from accessing and using templates altogether, while leaving manually written communications unaffected.

Thanks for raising this, Dayna Therrien — totally get why you’d want more control over who can use templates. To make sure we’re scoping the right permission behavior, can you clarify a couple things: which template types you mean (email vs SMS/text, etc.), and whether the restriction should cover all templates or only certain groups? For the users you want to restrict, should they be fully blocked from sending templated messages, or still able to send messages as long as they’re written from scratch? And lastly, are you trying to stop them from viewing/accessing templates, from selecting/using them to send, or both?
