In showroom

If a customer is in the showroom, as salesman we should be able to mark them in the showroom even if they are not our customer.

Hi! So I had a customer come in today who was not mine but he was in the system. The salesman was off today so I helped him and made notes for the salesman assigned to the deal. There was no way to show him in the showroom though and I spent a half hour or more with him. It would be good for the salesmanagers to know I'm with someone in the showroom even though they aren't my customer.

Thanks for posting this, Eric Danford — totally get why this would help in a busy showroom. To make sure we’re solving the right workflow, can I clarify a couple things: what’s the main reason you want to mark someone as “in the showroom” if they aren’t already your customer (walk-in tracking, follow-up assignment, traffic reporting, etc.)? And when you say “not our customer,” do you mean they don’t exist in your CRM yet, or they’re already tied to another salesperson/customer record? Lastly, once they’re marked as in the showroom, what would you want to happen next on your end (create a new lead/prospect, simply log the visit, notify/assign someone, etc.)?
