Ignoring a Message Only Ignores for User Who Performed the Ignore

If you ignore a conversation it hit's everyone on the thread. It would be great if it was only for the person who ignored it. Multiple sales people, managers, BDC's, change of salesperson all causes issues where one may not need to be involved anymore but others still do.

Manager Ignore Texts/Emails that won't ignore for the salesperson on deal
K
Kierstan Baldwin
When there is multiple people on a deal, all people will be notified of incoming messages/emails. I am a BDC manager so sometimes there are customer I know a sales team member is working with so I "ignore" the messages. When I click this though, it ignores the messages for all people on the deal instead of just ignoring it for myself.

Hiya Kierstan Baldwin, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- How often do you encounter situations where you need to ignore messages for yourself but not for others?
- Are there specific types of messages or emails that you typically want to ignore for yourself?
- Would you prefer a feature that allows selective ignoring of messages for different roles or individuals involved in a deal?

Ignore Function not Global

Can we add a feature to make the ignore feature not global for managers? Frequently we do not need to respond and it is being handled and we like to keep our tasks/notifications clear and active.

IGNORE CONVERSATION

I as the Internet Sales Director have an issue with some of my team "ignoring" the conversation, and then they completely forget about the customer and don't get back with them. As I am going in behind them to continue constant contact, when they do that, they take me out of the picture, and then completely forget about the customer. I cannot have that. I talked with Bri and she said I need to request a change in that.

Please dear god make this happen! This needs to be permission based.

Yes, this issue is becoming a problem. I gather data from customers and when a manager (or anyone else) gets tired of the notifications, they "ignore" it. That causes me to not get future feedback from the customer and makes for poor business practice. This needs to change ASAP. We also shouldn't have to get manager permission to only get notifications for our conversations/notification. I've had settings changed a few times to only get notifications for my information but it reverts back to being notified of everyone's notifications. Very annoying.

I don't really have a big issue, yet but find it may be useful if we get some sort of notification that conversations have been ignored by others. Occasionally I find messages dissapear because others are clearing it and if I forgot about the customer I have nothing to let me know or remind me they repsonded and got no answer
