We should be able to EDIT a "TEAM" name... building a team with one person's last name is just wonkie ! Should be able to name a TEAM.... BDC or USED CARS or SPECIAL FINANCE.
So we can see activity better around that Team

Hey Tom Thorton, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific benefits do you anticipate from being able to rename teams?
- Are there any specific permissions or roles that should be able to edit team names?
- How frequently do you expect team names to change in your organization?

Shelby Parker I wanted to share a few thoughts regarding how we name our Teams, as I believe the naming conventions we choose can significantly impact clarity, collaboration, and long-term usability.
First, the word "Team" inherently implies a group with a shared purpose. Naming a team after an individual—especially when that name doesn’t reflect the collective identity or function—can dilute that meaning. A strong team name should highlight what unites its members, not just who created it.
Second, I don’t see a strong need for permissions around naming. Keeping the process simple and intuitive encourages consistency and reduces administrative overhead.
Lastly, team names should be designed to endure. While team membership may change over time, a name tied to a specific person can quickly become outdated—especially if that individual leaves the organization. A more functional or mission-based name ensures the team remains relevant and recognizable.
