Allow desk documents to be signed with e-signatures using iPads, standing alone and separate from any digital retailing tool in development.

I would be AMAZING to have the ability for a customer to "sign" the proposal that we send via text or email. I know it would not be legally binding, but it would be an excellent way firm a commitement from a customer. Especially if you send them 1-3 proposals on different options and they can sign the one they want

Sign Documents Electronically VIA Email or Text

This feature would give the ability of a representative from the dealership to upload and send a form via text or email for the customer to sign electronically.

Hiya Cole Frankman, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific features would you like to see in the e-signing process to enhance customer commitment?
- How do you envision the e-signing process working within the current proposal system?
- Are there any specific security or privacy concerns you have regarding the e-signing feature?

Shelby Parker It does not need to be complex. It is not something that would be legally binding. But it would be something that would indicate we have reached an agreement with the customer.
If in the email or text of the proposal, there was simply a button to scribble their signature and apply it to the proposal. That would be excellent.
We would then know those are the terms of the sale to process and spin into the full deal.
This would be for long distance customers who are buying sight unseen, or for customers who agree to terms today, and will be arriving at the store in subsequent days to finalize and take delivery of the car.

Yes, this is much needed. We need the ability to send out documents via text or email for a customer to sign digitally. Please add this!

Hello, I'm just looking to be able to have the customer sign a proposal and send back to us when they commit. We do a lot of remote deals and feel this would help us. Thanks for any consideration.

Thank you for posting, Jeff McMahan! I have a few more questions for you:
- What types of documents or proposals do you typically need signed electronically?
- Are there any specific security or compliance requirements for electronic signatures that we should be aware of?
- How often do you anticipate using the electronic signature feature within DriveCentric?

Collect a document signature via text

It would be great if we could collect a signature on a purchase and sales agreement or other deal documents via TEXT MESSAGE or EMAIL. Even better if we could upload a document manually and add a signature box for non-sensitive documents.
It would help to gain a solid commitment from the customer and having them take mental ownership when negotiating a deal remotely.

Hey Celeste DesRosiers, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- What types of documents do you most frequently need to collect signatures for via text or email?
- Are there any specific security or compliance requirements we should be aware of when implementing this feature?
- How important is the ability to manually upload documents and add signature boxes for your workflow?

- Any Document that may have been missed during the signing process would need security and compliance requirements, this could be a later on feature. Initially it would be helpful just to be able to get a signature on the purchase and sales agreement or worksheet so that the customer isn't just agreeing over the phone, but taking mental ownership by signing a document. That would be a good starting point. Those documents would not need to contain sensitive info.
- Even without security we would be able to send out rebate forms that are sometimes missed and necessary for Ford customers when a rebate has been applied the their deal, or other documents such as service contracts or aftermarket sale that do not contain sensitive information.
- The ability to manually upload a document and add signature boxes would only be necessary if the security features are in place.
- If a secure signing portal was implemented, it would eliminate our need to use and pay for DocuSign as well.

Not to mention, you would be the ONLY CRM that I know of that would have that feature available. :)
