we would love to have a license saved to reference in the future ...often a face to a name reminds us of what the customer was chasing

I agree 100% that the picture of a customer is really important to have on file.

This should be standard- how are we expected to retain a copy of the driver’s license for test drives? That's a standard requirement for us from both a liability and compliance standpoint, much less having the ability to view the photo for the sales person and cross reference who they are or jog their memory of the deal, face to name. Also very helpful with service customers.

This seems like it should be a standard feature.

I think this would be super helpful.

Vinsolutions stores a photo of the drivers license. When you hover the mouse over the customers name the DL picture shows up to cross reference. I agree this would be a GREAT addition! Vinsolutions has always had this ability.

Thanks for sharing this, MICHAEL PICCIRILLI — totally get how having a saved license (and photo) could make it much easier to connect a face to a name later on. To make sure we’re scoping this the right way, can you share a bit more about (1) when you’re typically trying to reference the saved driver’s license (follow-ups, check-in/verification, etc.), (2) who at the dealership should be able to view it (everyone vs. specific roles/teams, and whether it needs to work across locations/customer records), and (3) whether you need to store an actual image/scan of the license or if capturing key fields (name, address, DOB, etc.) would cover the use case?

Shelby Parker (1) want to see photo in customer dashboard with all their contact info (2) everyone can see if on customer dashboard (3) we just want a photo to see customer's face and have that immediate face to name recognition, lets not over complicate things

Hello Shelby Parker,
I see there are several feedback threads regarding this topic. I felt compelled to give you a broader operational perspective as you asked for above.
I want to stress that this is almost a game-changer for me. Not having it is a serious issue as it effects the whole operation.
I hope you'll take the time to read my response attached. It was a bit more than the 2500 characters allotted and I felt leaving anything out would be flawed.
