Cold Communication Restrictions

Locking out cold attempts (texts/emails) to market to current and previous customers is hindering our abilities to communicate and captured business.

These are all previous buyers for the store that have high APR. They have all been opted in previously, so I'm trying to help them with a better loan, but it only allows 10 texts from me an hour, then an error message pops up and advises of the restriction. I'll snip and attach it next time I exceed the attempts.

Thanks for sharing this, Greg Foumal — totally hear you on how limiting that can feel when you’re trying to re-engage customers and capture business. Just so we understand exactly what’s getting blocked: when you say “cold attempts,” which scenarios are you running into (e.g., existing customers with no recent activity, past customers after a certain amount of time, or contacts with no prior consent/interaction)? And what does the restriction look like on your end — are you fully unable to send, limited by a time window, or being pushed to a different channel? Lastly, what’s the main goal of these messages (service reminders, reactivation offers, renewals, event promos, etc.), and which customer segments are being impacted the most?
