Adding Co-buyer that is open deal in system

In the past, if you linked a co-buyer with an open deal to another profile the two would link as one and if you snoozed one profile it would snooze both, if they sold and delivered both profiles would be marked delivered .. at some point this changed and now when you link a co-buyer it shows as two open deals on the primary deal card. if you snooze the primary, it will not reflect on the co-buyer and if they buy, it does not close out both profiles as delivered. This causes us to have to bad lead the co-buyer profile and sometimes this even causes the lead to show delivered as the wrong source and it's difficult if not impossible to correct.
It also won't reflect an appointment shown if the appointment was set on the co-buyer and the primary buyer was checked in or vis versa.
can we have this change reverted back to how it was before where the deals seemed to link together and show as one open deal instead of two?

I'd like to add that previously any deal activity or communication with the customer would be mirrored on both customer cards.
Now if you pull up a cosigner there is no information in the "activity" of the customer card pertaining to that deal. We also aren't easily able to switch between looking at the buyer/cobuyer on a deal anymore. Seems to only link one way.

When buyer and co buyer are attached to each other it should close out the open deal under the co buyer automatically.

Hiya Payton Meek, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the process of automatically closing out the open deal under the co-buyer?
- What is the current process for closing out the open deal under the co-buyer and what challenges are you facing with it?
- Are there any specific scenarios where this automatic closing of the deal should not happen?

Shelby Parker,
The current process is that we manually close out the lead when adding the co buyer. We are wanting this to automatically be done. The perfect scenario would be that it combines the two open deals in to one when they are put together as buyer and co-buyer.
It's easier to open a secondary deal if necessary than close multiple deals.

Hi Lindsay, thanks so much for the feedback! I just want to make sure I understand your request - do you want to merge the deals after marking the customer on the new lead as cobuyer on the existing deal?

Jacob Coleman: No its not like a merge .. It's kind of like when you add a co-buyer that's not in the system already.. Their profiles are synced and if you snooze one, both snooze if they buy they both close out as delivered. You can still go to each individual profile to do activities, but the co-signer doesn't populate tasks.. they used to sync like that even if the co-buyer had an open profile and at some point it stopped , I did speak with Zach about this the other day so I think he knows what I mean but you can also call me if that helps ...

Jacob Coleman: Here is an example that will hopefully help explain LOL So in this screenshot, The Automotive mastermind was an open deal in our system since May 30th. The Cosigner put in a lead on dealer inspire June 9th they came in on Saturday and we determined they were co-signers so we linked the Dealer inspire profile with the Automotive mastermind Profile under co-buyers. In the past when we did that the dealer inspire customer's profile source would then switch to show it as an automotive mastermind because that was the first source in the system and from there on out the tasks would stop populating.. if we snoozed the primary deal card the co-buyer would snooze also, if we checked the customer in it would show as visit on both profiles, if the customer sold and delivered both profiles would close out together.. Now none of that happens, instead of syncing, it will show as two open deals on the primary and snooze, deliver and , check in's do not reflect on the co-buyers profile. Everything needs to be duplicated now in order for both profiles to show accurately but that doesn't really reflect accurately because it would be counting a check in as two Showns when it is one and we have to bad lead the co-buyer once they purchase and sometimes, they close out as the wrong source and we have to unlink and relink deals to make it reflect correctly and that does not always work.
In the screenshot it shows this profile has never updated the stage it still shows as lead even though they came in and bought and she was tied to the deal as a cosigner she is still an open deal even though they bought and once we bad lead it to remove it the profile looks very confusing you don't even see the history of her buying if you don't click over to "deals" tab. I hope this makes sense

Lindsay Jones: Thank you for taking the time to put that together! I understand what you're saying now. We'll continue to gather feedback on this issue and look for ways to improve the flow here.
