Add Source Description Groups to the Mining Tool

I'd like to have Source Description Groups added to the mining tool. This would allow much more flexibility when mining lists.

I have specific workflows for specific lead sources (CarGurus vs CARFAX vs TrueCar), and also find it tedious to filter for every TrueCar 'Source Description' individually.
Instead of using the "IS" filter to select every TrueCar Source Description individually, use the "CONTAINS" filter to select all leads with the word "TrueCar" in the Source Description. Then, you can 'Save Segment' and click on it right from the Mining Tool home screen.
Is this what you were trying to accomplish?

Alexis Gutierrez-Malagon Thanks for the suggestion. This would work for a source like TrueCar, where each instance includes "TrueCar". But if I'm wanting to segment all website leads, there are too many variations with no consistent name.

Great to hear your perspective, Joe Brown! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how you envision the integration of Source Description Groups into the mining tool?
- What specific functionalities do you expect from the addition of Source Description Groups to the mining tool?
- Can you share some examples of the flexibility you are expecting when mining lists with the addition of Source Description Groups?

Shelby Parker, thanks for following up!
We use the mining tool for various functions. We can use the mining tool to mine various types of parameters including lead types and source descriptions, but not source groups. Unfortunately, source descriptions can become quite fragmented, which is where source description groups can help.
I'd like to be able to create lists for marketing initiatives, touch points and to export leads from those groups into CSV.
If we want to mine a list of all leads in a Source Description Group (ex: Dealer Website Leads or TrueCar Leads) to have our staff reach out via touchpoint or to send them an email blast with a promotion, we have to choose each Source Description that belong to those Source Description Groups in the mining tool to get that list of prospects. Since you already have those leads grouped into one Source Description Group, it would be great to be able to mine all of those leads at once by that group.
