Add Accessories/DIO to Vehicles Prior to desking

Able to add DIOs or Accessories to in-stock vehicles when they are upfitted, and not when desking the vehicle. We want to make sure nothing is missed.

Thanks for raising this, Chuck Cole — totally get the goal of getting DIOs/accessories captured earlier so nothing slips through at desking. Quick couple questions so we can scope it correctly: when you say “prior to desking,” where in your workflow should those items be added to an in-stock VIN (at inventory receipt, once upfitting is completed, or another checkpoint)? And should this apply only to upfitted in-stock units, or also incoming/ordered units and/or used vehicles? Lastly, what’s the ideal end result for you: should those DIOs/accessories automatically flow into every deal/worksheet for that VIN, or is it sufficient that they’re clearly visible and selectable during desking?

Shelby Parker once upfitting is completed on in-stock units. It should either be imported from our inventory manager or DMS, or manually added by us in DriveCentric. Every deal with these vehicles should already have the accessories/DIOs applied at desking.
