Can we get the new "Wish List " feature to include transmission, Engine, and some other specific features like color and wheel base that customer ask for?

Wish list feature request

Josh Jewett
The wish list is a great idea, but it could use a feature category for items like a sunroof or an 8-foot-long box bed. These are highly sought-after designations that consumers often desire outside of trim levels, more as optional equipment or unique features.

Hey Josh Jewett, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific categories or features would you like to see added to the wish list?
- How do you envision these categories being used by consumers when selecting optional equipment?
- Are there any other features or options you think should be included in the wish list to enhance its usefulness?

More categories for wishlist!!
Cody Roberson
We are loving the new wishlist feature! I just finished up inputting one for my customer, and he is specifically looking for a manual transmission vehicle. I would love to have sub-categories or a notes section to input specifics, instead of pinning a note to the profile and having the possibility of it being missed.

Cody Roberson Thank you for the feature request! We are not planning to add any additional fields to the Wish List at this time. Our goal is to be 100% accurate when we provide you Wish List Vehicle matches and because we use the inventory file to check against what you have added for the Wish List Vehicle, we feel the fields have now give us the most accurate matches. We are planning to add a Notes section to the Wish List though, where you can add notes like the examples you added. Thank you again and have a great day!

Wish List vehicle type instead of model
MIKE WILSON
A broader filter for vehicle type would be more useful than asking for a specific make and model. Example: sedan, suv, truck... The current filter choices are often too specific.

MIKE WILSON Thank you for the feature request! We are in the process of adding a notes section to the Wish List options where you can add more information! We are not planning to add any more Vehicle Fields since our goal is to use the data that comes from your Inventory tool to match vehicles to the Wish List Vehicle selections and often this information is not provided by the Inventory provider. Thank you again and have a great day!

notes section add to wish list feature

Jason Gale
Hello. I love the wish list feature. However, it would be nice to have a "Notes" section. This way, the car salesperson could make a note of things such as "Customer only wants a v8 no turbo or no hybrid" Thank you. Jason Gale from LaGrange Toyota

Hey Cody Roberson, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific sub-categories would be most useful for your wishlist needs?
- How would you envision using a notes section to enhance the wishlist feature?
- Are there any other features or improvements you would like to see in the wishlist functionality?
Cody Roberson
Shelby Parker Thanks for the follow-up!
- Sub-categories that would be most useful:
Since we can already add up to 3 wishlist vehicles and receive match alerts (which is great, by the way), like I stated in my original post, I think these would add awesome value to the wishlist:
Transmission type (manual vs automatic)
Drivetrain (4WD, AWD, etc.) (or ability to cross-reference wishlist and interested vehicle for a way to match to keep redundancy down)
Fuel type.
Must-have packages or features (like tow package, moonroof, etc.)
I think this would allow us to define what actually makes a match meaningful. Right now, I can add a Grand Highlander to a wishlist, but I can’t flag that they only want a Platinum Hybrid with second-row captain's chairs and AWD; I still have to note that separately.
- Notes section vision:
Being able to add notes directly inside each wishlist entry would solve that. Instead of pinning info to the customer profile or hoping another team member doesn't miss it if you forget to pin the note.
- Future wishlist enhancements:
Customer-Facing Wishlist Integration
Allow us to share or build a wishlist with the customer via text or email—maybe through a simple web form or link. I can see sending off a wishlist builder or how they fill out the credit application from the hot button.

Thank you for posting, MIKE WILSON! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific vehicle types would you like to see included in the filter options?
- How often do you find the current filter choices too specific when searching for vehicles?
- Can you provide examples of situations where a broader vehicle type filter would have improved your experience?
MIKE WILSON

- Sedan, SUV, Coupe, Truck, 7 passenger, 8 passenger ect
- Often. Unless a person is ONLY considering one model of car, its not very useful.
- A situation such as someone wanting a sedan for a particular price range and miles. Or, someone open to an SUV that seats 7 or 8 people. I think its too easy to overlook viable options when you are selecting a total of 3 specific makes and models.
I am happy to expand further if needed. Thanks for the response.
