Would like to be able to set certain tasks as Priority so that they move to the top of the Workplan as opposed to by time of day, or ability to mark the task as HOT.

High Priority Tasks Red in Workplan

Julieanne Eads
Can we please add the ability to use coding in the Workflows to make tasks red in the workplans. This will help identify high priority tasks. We use <font color=red> in other systems for this feature.
Shelby Parker
Great to hear your perspective, Julieanne Eads! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific criteria or conditions should trigger a task to be marked as high priority and turn red in the workplan?
- Are there any other visual indicators or notifications that would be helpful in identifying high priority tasks besides changing the color to red?
- How do you currently manage high priority tasks in your existing systems, and what improvements are you looking for in our system?

Shelby Parker - Thanks for the quick response! We have been able to use coding added to a tasks title in the workflow builders to turn tasks that we would consider high priority parts of the process red.
The coding we have used so far is formatted as below:
* <font color=red>Unengaged Day 1
* </font color=red>Unengaged Day 1<font color=red>
This approach is mainly focused on leads that are on a workflow/specific cadence. Tasks that we would consider high priority would be:
* All manual tasks for the first 5 days of a new Unengaged leads
* The first 3 days after a Showroom visit or Proposal was sent.
* First 3 days after Engagement.
* We also usually will have a high priority button we can click that puts like a fire emoji or red dot by a tasks for when the team wants to manually make a task a high priority that is not attached to an actual workflow but is manually scheduled. I would love to see that as well in Drive! :)
It's helps identify leads that are in the most crucial parts of the process at an easy glance. We have already used touchpoint titles such as "Showroom Follow Up" to try and make this easier, we have just found that the Red tasks really jumps out at the users and adds a little more sense of urgency for the tasks to be completed.
Thanks again!

Highlighting follow up task of high importance
Shelby Parker
Great to hear your perspective, Robin Leet! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific criteria should determine a task's high importance status?
- How would you like to be notified or reminded about high importance tasks?
- Are there any specific features or integrations you would like to see with the highlighting of high importance tasks?

Hey Paul Goetzman, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific criteria should be used to differentiate between user-generated and system-generated tasks?
- How should the grouped tasks be prioritized or ordered within each category?
- Are there any specific notifications or alerts needed for user-generated tasks?

Urgent Tasks

I would love to see a task category specifically for Urgent tasks. Pin the task to the top of the workplan and Highlight it. that way the important stuff isn't buried!
Shelby Parker
Hiya Hunter Seltenrich, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- How do you currently prioritize urgent tasks within the existing system?
- Would you like notifications or reminders for urgent tasks, and if so, how frequently?
- Are there specific criteria that define an 'urgent' task for you?

Shelby Parker When it is an important task and something I absolutely can't miss but needs to happen in a few hours or days instead of right now, I will put a reminder on my personal calendar.
Notifications would be great 1 hour before and at the time the task is set for!
For example, I have a customer who needs numbers presented over the phone but they are at work until 6. If we could set that as an important (because it's more than just follow up) so it sticks to the top of the work plan where it is easily visible, it will be impossible to miss!

Need to have colors for importance of follow up since you don't really put the task at hand for the day as things to do...it just shows up as a Gray Box in your work schedule
thus gets to be blended in with all the other things.

I would love to be able to set varying priorities or flag as urgent on to-dos so that I can focus on the most important tasks first day-to-day
