Ability to Search for Notes Under Customers

A search feature to help find old customers through keywords in notes left under them.

Thanks for the suggestion, JONATHAN MORRIS — totally see how being able to search customers by note keywords would make tracking down older records a lot faster. To make sure we’re designing this in a way that fits your workflow, could you share a bit more context on when you’re typically doing this and what you’re trying to accomplish once you find the customer (follow-up, resolving a past issue, sales, etc.)? Also, when you mention “notes left under them,” which note types should be included (sales/service notes, call/email logs, internal-only notes), or should it be everything tied to the customer? And lastly, what would a “good” result look like for you — a list of matching customers, or should we also surface the matching note text/snippets in the results?

Shelby Parker I would want to use it for if a customer was looking for a specific vehicle at the time which wasn't properly documented or even if there was no specific vehicle involved and the customer was looking for a specific feature, like "3 row", for example. I plan to use that to sell customers that were looking for vehicles or features that we did not have at the time. I would say everything tied to the customer should be searchable. A good result to me would be a list of matching customers. Showing a small preview of the snippet along with each customer may work.
