Hello Lori Montero! Following up on this:
- Can you provide more details on the types of changes you want to prevent with the locked reports?
- What level of access should different users have to these special/personal/enterprise-level reports?
- Are there specific scenarios or issues that have occurred which led to the need for this feature?

Hi, Shelby - Yes, I'm happy to provide more details. Since I'm responsible for corporate reporting on the CRM, once we develop an (enterprise-level) report, we'd prefer for it to only be modifiable by one of us in the corporate marketing department.
When we drop a corporate report into all the stores, chances are someone is going to 'play' with it, add filters, remove columns, etc. and the integrity of the report (built by corporate) may become inaccurate. We would want the 'locked' reports only accessible to and modifiable by our Expert Users. [Zach and I are exploring how to define and manage the permission levels DriveCentric has established.]
Specific scenario: Zach built a customer internet source report for a Dealer Operator. Someone went in and removed a filter which skewed the report and sent the Dealer Operator into orbit. While it was an easy fix and required turning one filter off and another one on, someone didn't reset the original filters and when the Dealer Operator pulled his report, he panicked and made an 'emergency' call to Zach. If we'd been able to lock down that custom report, the 911 drill wouldn't have occurred.
On another note, Zach is currently building a 'yesterday's lead report'. That's a report that will mean nothing to the Operators. We're pulling the data and using it in another application to watch trends in activity. The yesterday's lead report is focusing on showroom, internet and phone leads for the previous day. This is a report I'm asking for and I'd prefer it be hidden and auto-generated every day to show up in my email the next morning by 7 am EST.
Thanks for all you do! Really appreciate your help here, Shelby. Let me know if you have any other questions.
