We are employing prospecting blitzes to help drum up self-generated leads. With other CRMs that I have managed (Salesforce, for example) we had a field where an activity or task had a secondary description field where we could add a hashtag which would allow us to carve out specific activities related to prospecting for reporting purposes. For example, anything that included #FebPB (February Prospecting Blitz) could be segmented and reported on.

We could then use this secondary field to carve specific reports related to the initiative and thus separate Sales Activities versus Prospecting Activities
