Ability to add & back date appointment

We would like to have the ability to add an appointment / back date an appointment. I know that this is possible with Expert User functionality but we would like to have this as a permission that can be toggled in and off without using Expert User.

Hi Shelby -
What specific scenarios or use cases do you envision for backdating appointments? Sometimes the showroom is busy or the Sales person neglects to add someone to floor traffic, having a manager be able to go in and correct it is critical to good reporting.
How frequently do you anticipate needing to toggle this permission on and off? I want this to be permission based - manager or select user only. Once on, I would not anticipate turning it on and off.
Are there any specific user roles that should have access to this permission? - in our company, I would give to BDC Manager only.
