there should be a way to save images sent by a guest for at least a month if not 2

Multiple compliance issues with this request. I agree if a customer submits images of their vehicle, users should be able to attach them to the appraisal thereby bypassing the image deletion policy. DC has launched "Portal" for secure upload, but any other images, if they contain PII and are emailed or texted, should be deleted as soon as possible.

Even if all pictures cannot be saved it would be nice to mark one as saved. Sometime we will have a customer send us a picture of their ID and it would be nice to have this saved.

I agree with him the images should be saved forever. It's like on one instance for us there was a trade-in which customer sends us picture and then 15 days later he decide to trade it in but when the car arrived it was having all kind of damages on it but we could not go back to the pictures as they got deleted after 10 days

Omar Qureshi I'm sure they can't save every image forever since that would take a lot of data but 1-2 months should be standard and maybe an option to store for longer

I'm all in on this suggestion, there are numerous documents customers upload to us such as insurance cards, DL's, car registrations, control #'s and there are times when finance or the lender lose or misplace these docs and we have to access them again and this can be weeks after a deal is done and with an upload being deleted after only 10 days well you can see the issue I hope, why are docs deleted at all, just like notes and customer interactions they are a part of the customer profile and should be stored with the customer data. The impact can be a delay in funding more times than not and that's not a good thing.

Hiya D'Aundre DeMars, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more context on how often these images are accessed after they are sent by a guest?
- Are there specific types of images or information in the images that you need to be saved for a longer period?
- What is the impact on your business operations if these images are not saved for at least a month or two?

Shelby Parker please allow pictures that are emailed or texted to be saved especially trades.
